Yes this is difficult. Yes PTSD causes numbing. He abruptly dropped out of school. Now he has no feelings for you. I bet your emotions are everywhere right now. You do need to take care of you because of this roller coaster ride. First you do know there is nothing you can do to change this. If you have any booklets about PTSD symptoms then put them in the bathroom or anyplace he might "read" Maybe he will see that he is having classic symptoms and get some help. But that is about all you can do. He is trying to seek happiness to get away from what he is feeling. I do wish the therapist would get back with you because he could need a change in meds. In the meantime do make plans to keep yourself sane, because if he does leave, you have to be prepared. Its going to hurt also. But you need to know it is not you. It is PTSD. Yes and keep posting.
