Because if they go down the mental health road then Payee issues can raised and depending on the MH problems he might not be able to have a concealed weapons permit or own a firearm.
Fortunately SSDI is 100% and NOT offset by VA - be very thankful ladies that there is no offset for VA & SSDI - you get all of each. Not so with Labor & Industries, Worker's Comp, Federal Employees Disability or any private insurance that has a Disability payment.
