Have to say this post made my day-- This site is the most uplifting visual on my computer..
My new dog-Jake- is the BEST thing that has been in this house in a long time. My dh was in a huge depression since we were not going to take care of the grandpuppy any longer. Now that Jake is in our home my dh is again vocal. HE invited own kids to a cookout here yesterday and even sat outside and watched them play a silly game and TALKED to them. Jake was right by his side the whole time. When my dh decided he needed to eat inside while everyone was outside- no one questioned it- he called for Jake to come with him. He sat inside and I could hear him talking to Jake (his own demons were there but he thanked Jake for being there). After he ate my dh did something he never does- he rejoined us- with Jake. I can not tell you have happy this day made me- no anger- no silence- only wanting to be with us- THANK YOU JAKE!!! I wished I would have gotten a little dog for dh sooner- but now I cant imagine life without him. I know Jake will not leave dh side this next weekend- thankfully. It gives me piece of mind. And knowing that others can hear the difference in my dh helps me understand that I am Not crazy- I am a ptsd vet wife!!!!
