Well I broke down on Sunday and got my dh a schnauzer. I go to the humane society every weekend- just to look. My dh had to put down his schnauzer about 4 years ago and he has never gotten over it. My dh got attached to our grandpuppy since we have watched him Thur-Mon since he was a pup (he is now 3). My daughter in law (that owns the grandpuppy) quit her job so we are no longer needed for dog care. This put my dh is a HUGE depression- add the fact that I am leaving in a week for Myrtle and I had disaster on my hands- SO... Sunday I saw the most amazing little schnauzer at the pound- He picked me more than I picked him. My dh has been so happy. This dog just wants to be held and cuddled. I will put the papers in 6 months from now to make him a service dog for my dh. Just him being with him calmed the ptsd- without dh knowing it. My dh now has a purpose to come home- and someone to take care of. I am grateful to this little guy- oh- pound said he was 4 but vet said no older than 2 so we hope to have him MANY years....
