actually World of Warcraft is a fantasy world of Orcs, Elves, etc and wonderful forests. very much different than Call of Duty, etc, which are first person shooters and it boils down to you shooting/killing or being killed. it is an MMORPG - massive, multiplayer, online, role playing game. he can be either Horde or Alliance. he may be on a PVE, player VS environment or PVP, player VS player server. yes he is doing quests, killing murlocs and dragons , etc, and if you go PVP then it gets personal to survive. it's a time and mind sink. my Vet and I and two of the sons have played WoW (from 12/2004 to 10/2010). my Vet and I now play RIFT (similar game). for my Vet is is a good thing, given his health problems - this is something he can do, somewhere he can go and pit himself against odds to win quests. for less than $15 a month there is almost 24/7 access and that's a lot cheaper than other vices. there good and bad to pc games but i prefer it to other vices.
