Great that you feel you could connect with the counselor. I've been looking forward to it for you.
Nakiea, if you don't have a VA nearby, could you look for support groups for caregivers in your community? I know its not the same as having a therapist who knows PTSD, and it might end up being mostly people who are caring for their parents, who knows? It could hook you up with other counseling options that are closer to home. here is a link
