Breathe, my dh is an iraqi vet and interesting enough because of what the vietnam guys went through (including one of our very close friends) it took me about a year post deployment to figure out he had some issues and then about another half year for him to start to figure it out that all these things that he was dealing with, he didn't have to deal with them by himself. I honestly credit my dh's friends dad for my dh realizing rather early that he needed some help. And again, just because they start to get help it doesn't mean problem solved, it just means the ground work
starts to get layed.
So excited about your date night but even more excited about your open communication...those conversations can be very freeing for both of you to know that your both in this together!
