I swear, if a person did not have some mental health issue before taking on this SC up-grade, then by golly they soon would! I was under the - false it seems - impression that changes had occurred which lifted some if not all of these harmful obstacles off the Veteran. When an individual is already working at a deficit, which HD certainly is, then it only stands that more concern is given to prevent further harm. When the VA's own records indicate the real possiblity of PTSD - when their own tests which they themselves devised indicate not only severe PTSD but two standards above what is required for SC PTSD - then there is something wrong with the methods used for determination. To the casual onlooker it appears as if the VA's first objective is to detect fraud. To the Veteran it appears to be harsh frank denial of responsibility. I have dealt with SSD, with Workers' Compensation both required legal assistance. And neither were as difficult or as time consuming as the VA has become. I think we are on the long road here but at least we are on the right path.
