My dh doesn't even begin the projects...which is probably better than having half-butted stuff done. But it does drive me nuts. We have been missing the front to one of our kitchen drawers for months now. And stuff like that just bothers me to no end, however, I find myself getting used to it which is probably what drives me nuts.
I told him recently I am gonna hire a handy man. I am tired of having the house with the broken this or broken that. Also, it's now spring which means, the yard is gonna need some lovin'. His intentions and ideas are fantastic but it's mid-calf high in some areas already. Ds12 thought he'd help out last week and mow the grass---but hit a rock and the mower started smoking. Welp! Dh hasn't even looked at the mower yet to see what needs fixin. So by the time the grass is long enough that we will be better off getting a dang goat, it will become a ALL DAY or several day project!!
I see in my dh (not sure about others) that he doesn't properly plan his time out. He waits to the last minute and isn't very proactive on things. At work, he does this sometimes and that is when it (the frustration) comes here to our house. He is good at his job and it can go unnoticed because his company is very busy, most things are in sit-and-wait or hurry-up-and-rush mode. Here at home, that is usually NOT the case, so it is not as easy on him NOT to see where he isn't measuring up...which, I believe makes it worse on him. It's like a vicious circle.
